HR: How do I set up an employee transfer in advance? I want to be able to manage them at this location until their transfer date.

Hi there!

What a great question – you can set up a future transfer, so that you can manage your employee at the current location, right up until the effective date of their transfer to the next location.

Search for the appropriate employee from the Employee List within the HR Module and click on Employment Details from the Employee Info drop-down menu. Select and set the new Location, Division and Job Title information as required and hit Save at the bottom-right of the page. You will then be prompted to enter in an Effective Date – note that this will default to the date of amendment of the Employee’s Employment Details. Set the effective date as far into the future as required. This allows you to continue managing your employee at the current location, right up until the effective date, at which point, said employee’s record will be transferred to the new location.
