Is it possible for sites to be able to process wastage as a full recipe as well as individual ingredients?

Is it possible for sites to be able to process wastage as a full recipe as well as individual ingredients as at the moment if the café want to waste a ham and cheese toastie, for example, they have put 80g cheese, 50g ham etc. @Benjamin Allen​

Thanks for the question, yes it is possible to waste a full recipe.

 

There are 2 ways this can be done:

 

  • When creating a wastage transfer in Inventory, the user has the option to waste by menu type at the point of creation, in the drop down. This would allow them to waste the complete toastie as in the example above.

 

  • Some EPOS providers can send a sale type of wastage in the sales file which will allow users to waste menu items via the till but account for it in Inventory.
