Inventory: Can I add comments to a Stock Period?

Thank you for the question. You certainly can add comments to the stock period!

This can be really useful if you wish to add some free text notes about the stock period. For example: 'Wastage higher than normal due to freezer breaking down'. 'Sales up 10% due to team incentive'. This information is saved against the stock period and can be accessed in the future to help to explain the stock results. Or it can be used by Area Managers, Head Offices or Administrators to help explain the period results without needing to contact you directly.

The path to access the notes section is as follows:

Stock Management > Notes:

You can then free type your comments into the box and save. If you wish to access this in the future you can locate the previous stock period as follows:

Stock Management > All Options > Previous Stock Period:

Once the previous stock period is selected from the list, the Notes tab can be selected to view the previously entered comments:
