Hi @Adam Dattis & @Simon Madders ,

Thank you for bringing this query to the customer community!

The process which you have described is exactly how we would suggest to apply carriage/delivery charges within Trade Simple. Unfortunately there is not really an alternative process and it is a case of, like all products, making sure sites are receipting that extra charge.

In order to try and get the message across a bit more, a news story can be published to the Trade Simple homepage reminding sites to receipt the carriage charge. This could potentially help lower the amount of mistakes made.

Hope this helps - please let me now if you have any questions at all around this.

Thanks!

Hi, just on this point, can a supplier in Trade Simple be configured to automatically always add a delivery charge onto an order, through an email and Web integration.

Thanks

Hi @Simon Madders ,

Thanks for coming back to the customer community for this!

Unfortunately a supplier cannot be set up to always add a delivery charge to an order, the process which is described above is the process which we would have to advise for these charges to be applied.

Any more questions please just let me know.

Thank you!

Thanks Paul, the only reason I ask is  that during our supplier integration projects with Fourth our suppliers are asked to complete a template. On this template they are asked to give their carriage charge details. Just curious as to why Fourth would ask this if its not built into any configuration?

Thanks

Hi @Simon Madders ,

Very good point, We simply ask for this information so that if there is delivery charges to be applied we can discuss business processes around this - and also so that if needs be, we know the amount of the charge to add in to a catalogue as a 'product' to then be added to orders.

I hope that makes sense? Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thanks,

Paul
