WFM Release Note: Future Termination Dat ...
WFM Release Note: Future Termination Date
What’s Changing?
Introduction new global setting that will allow users to terminate employees beyond the current pay run’s end date.
Release Date: 31st January 2019.
Reason for the Change
Currently when the final holiday pay is set to pay automatically, the system limits termination dates to within the current payroll period. This prevents users from terminating employees with a termination date beyond the end date of the current pay period upon receiving an employee’s notice.
Please comment below if you have any questions.

Hi, could I just check if this affect the HMRC data exchange at all? The reason I ask is we had an issue when one of our hotels terminated an employee with a date in the next pay reference period and the FPS failed as a consequence.
Many thanks, Ruth

I think so, thank you

Hi @Ruth Cousin,
I've got an update for you! 😊
'FPS’s allow termination dates up to 30 days beyond the date they are sent. This is logic currently built into our system so the FPS sends the termination date in the appropriate FPS.'
I hope this makes sense? Does this help answer your question?
Best,
Rozz

Hi Cristabelle,
We are aware it was only deployed today and as such have tried the setting and it is not visible to us even though we all have the relevant logins.

Hi @Ruth Cousin @Simone Yapp @Debra Hayden ,
This was only deployed today (31st) hence it not being visible (I did the same!) until today.
The path is Payroll>Administration>Global Settings>Holiday Pay (the screen when open will say Holiday Pay Population To Payroll) From here as long as you have access (admin log in) you will see Allow termination dates beyond the current payroll end date?
I hope this helps?

I don't seem to have access to Holiday Pay Auto Pay Holiday for Final Payroll in Global settings?

Hi Team- could i please confirm that this setting is visible to customers so that they can change it themselves, or does it have to be completed by a Fourth representative? @Simone Yapp @Debra Hayden

Response from @Ruth Cousin:
Hi @Cristabelle Metcalfe
Thanks for your response, however when I go to Payroll>Admin>Global Settings>Holiday Pay I do not have the option for “allow termination dates beyond the current payroll end date?”
Can you advise
Thanks, Ruth

Hi @Ruth Cousin,
Do you currently hold the Admin Log in for the business? If you are certain that you are, then in this instance I would raise a technical case so that out team can look into it further for you.
Thanks,
Cris

Hi @Simone Yapp
@Ruth Cousin , @Eleanor Cross @Debra Hayden ,
This can only be accessed by the one person within your organisation that has the Amin log in. This may not necessarily the super users.
Many Thanks,
Cris

Hi @Ruth Cousin ,
It is confusing, I agree! Individuals can have 'super user' access as this is generally the highest access in the hierarchy and people often have a separate log in for this as system users. However, when the portal is set up for the first time, there is one 'Admin' log in which is provided to one individual who can see and edit certain fields not visible to 'Super User's' such as the ability to create Templates and update the Wage Function settings. If you can see and edit these fields, then I would raise a technical case in this instance.
Best,
Cris

Hi Cristabelle
I have the admin log in but do not have global settings in the Payroll Module, I have always used my super user log in for this.
Confusing?
Thanks, Ruth

Hi @Ruth Cousin @Debra Hayden @Simone Yapp,
Thanks so much for raising this with us. Based on the information you have provided we have investigated this further with our Development team and can see that the function has been placed in a part of the system that is not visible to end users currently. We are in the process of working out if it is feasible to move this. In the meantime if you wish this setting to be switched on, please get in touch your Fourth contact who can do this for you.
Please do keep us informed any time you experience these issues, as this gives us visibility to investigate our end, so THANK YOU from the Community team!
Best,
Cris
