ESS Release Note - Pay Documents  

What's Changing?

A new section in the Employee Self Service (ESS) mobile app to give employees a single place to access all PDF pay-related documents. The initial release is limited to P45 and payslip documents. In future this will be expanded to include P60 and P11D documents.  

Release Date 8th November 2018.  

Reason for the Change

Part of the continuing roll-out of mobile functionality in ESS and to reduce reliance on printed paper documents.

Hi can you confirm if the P45 will still be emailed to them too? I am aware that they will have limited access to the App once their employment is terminated.

 

Also will we still be able to print the P45 in the same way for those who do not have access to a printer?

Thank you all so much for your questions!!

As a result of your feedback, we have decided to postpone the release of the feature. The reason being;

  1. All employees need to have access to Employee Self Service for a period of time to enable them to view their P45 after they have been terminated.
  2. The My documents functionality is not currently automatic and we would like to ensure all customer have this functionality as standard.

We will notify you when we can schedule this functionality for release.

 

Once this is released, employees will no longer receive P45s by email and unfortunately we cannot supply any posters, but it is a great idea so perhaps someone in house could create one. I would also suggest updating the termination checklist to ensure all leavers are informed that their P45 will be available on their App for a limited time.

For businesses with Engage, a notification can be sent to all employees in the app.
