WFM Release Note: Pro Rata FTE Calculations
What’s Changing?
The ability to prorate an employee’s pay based on full-time equivalent (FTE) for new starters, leavers, mid-period salary changes and final holiday pay.
Release Date: 28th March 2019
Reason for the Change
Currently in HR & Payroll it is only possible to prorate an employee’s salary based on a working pattern of 260 or 365 days. However, not all salaried employees work a full working week. This change will remove the need to manually update these employees within the system.
Full details are in the linked article (click on the bold green title at the top of this post). Please comment below if you have any queries on this particular release.

Hi Paul
The release note only mentions salaried employees, We have part time contracted employees who are paid by rota, will the system prorate their pay in the same way or will we still have to adjust them.
Thanks

Hi @Ruth Cousin,
Sorry for the delay! I checked in with the Product Owner and he said the following:
The change is specific to any employees set as salaried employee. It will use the days associated to them to figure out why days to use within the calculation.
It won’t use days that are associated to them within rota. Hourly or shift paid employees are unaffected.
I hope that helps to answer your question? Apologies again for the delay in response!
Best,
Rozz

That is a shame because it is part time hourly paid employees that we have more issues with.
Thanks, Ruth
