    Hi Megan,

We are working on a batch update for the furloughed functionality this week, as we understand this is a priority for our customers who are furloughing a lot of their staff. We hope the export will follow on for release next week after testing.

    Many thanks,

    Sophie.

    Hi Megan,

That is correct. We need to flag the furloughed employees first, then we can report on those on that status. The export, when released, will give you the information needed for your reporting and to use for payroll. You will need to upload into payroll for hourly paid employees but will be able to use the values provided on the export.

    Many thanks,

    Sophie.

    Thanks Sophie,

So to ensure I have understood this correctly:

The furlough status is a flag in the system, rather than a functioning payment type (absence or holiday for example) and therefore will not change anything in the rota or payroll module (we are bureau customer)

Exports will be used instead for the actual values?

    Kind Regards

    Megan

    Thanks Sophie, much appreciated.

Do you have a proposed date for when the reports will be released?

    Kind Regards

    Megan

    HI Megan,

Thank you for your question. The link to the release note for this functionality is below and will go into more detail about the functionality:

    https://fc.force.com/customer/s/article/WFM-Release-Note-Furloughed-Status-for-Employees

Now we have this flag in the system we are building functionality around this, one of the next things being an export. The export, when released, will show you what 100% of an employee's average earnings would be, and also what 80% of their average earnings would be. You can then choose which figure to upload into your payroll for hourly paid employees.

Please also refer to our article on how to pay salaried employees, as this gives advice on how to round down the annual salary to pay 80% if this is needed:

    Many thanks,
