Hi Paul,
Is there an export for the average pay calculation shown within the Furlough page?
Many thanks
Cristina

I would be interested in the export you will provide next week. As all I want is like Christina an export in excel of the Furlough average pay. I used your average pay comms to create a custom report for the last years payslip detail but it will not run as I would assume because the report is too big maybe? If you are releasing the export of this detail I will hold off running the payroll or putting a claim in to HMRC until I have this.

Hi Cristina,
We will be releasing an export for the furlough information next week- our development team are testing it at the moment.
Hi Laura,
Apologies but it's not clear from your question what report you are trying to run, or if it's a custom report, what the name of the report you're referring to is; but if you are having issues running the report then please get in touch with our service team at cases@fourth.com, or log a case with them through the community. If you can provide them the path you are using to get to the export/report and the name that would be helpful in resolving the issue.
Many thanks,
Sophie.

A question on behalf of @Laura Redman
Hi
I have tried everything to run the report for the average hours as per below yet even after a hour nothing comes out. I have tried removing lines and still nothing.
I really need this information from the system in excel rather than going through each employee all 1300 of them and write it down.
Please can you advise a way I can get this data out or fix the reason why the report I created to the exact spec below keeps crashing?
Thank you in advance as I know you are very busy.
Kind regards
Laura
Thanks,
Zaina

@Laura Redman you can create a customised report with employee details and add the option of average hours. I believe the portal automatically now pulls the data for the last 52 weeks. However once furlough status is set it shows the average pay

@WFM Solution it seems average pay will not be accurate if an ee has started in the middle of payroll or 29/02 week is not the final week of payroll.
The system divides the total earnings by number of pay periods not working weeks. Would you be able to check/fix that please?

Hi Natalija,
I was just checking this with our Product team! The calculation is using paid weeks, so any rota payments that have been paid to employees between the 6th April and the 29th February.
If you have the scenario where you have an employee who was only paid one weeks pay in February, their next pay would be March so the calculation is only using the 1 weeks pay in the calculation. We are aware in this scenario the average pay is lower than it should be.
Many thanks,
Sophie

Hi Sophie @Sophie Waters Are you able to check how average earnings are calculated please? It does not give accurate numbers as it divides by number of pay cycles rather than working weeks?

Will the pay be corrected for all new starters that were not paid a full month in Feb as I have a considerable amount of effected employees. Or do you have a work around to ensure they have the correct calculation for the Furlough amount ?

Hi Sophie @Sophie Waters , not sure if I understand you correctly. We run FW payroll. As an example we have an ee who has joined on 21/01 and was paid for 3 weeks in his first payroll as it was a 3rd weeks of a Jan pay cycle. Next pay was for wc 17/02, 24/02, 02/03 and 09/03. So average weekly earnings shall be calculated based on the total earnings and divided by 5 but Fourth divides it by 8 hence 4weekly average earnings are incorrect on the system.
same for all new starters that have not worked full 4 weeks when they joined and since w.c 24.02 is the second week of a pay cycle it gives wrong numbers.

Hi Laura,
Our Product team have confirmed that they have used the 29th February as some of our customers had employees on furlough in March which shouldn't be included. The formula used means the salary used is a whole year's average salary.
Many thanks,
Sophie.

I have also noticed anyone who has started in the last few months before the cut off of 29th Feb the calculation in Fourth for average pay is distorted. Should the calculation not be based on the whole tax year and not just up until the end of Feb?

@Laura Redman Hi Laura,
I managed to get my custom Payroll report to run eventually, by using the 'condition' column on the tax year row and putting '=' (rather than n/a)
Then when you run the report, it will make you type what this tax year is equal to and I typed 2019.
Hope this makes sense.

Hi Natalija,
The average pay calculation uses days worked until 29th feb and calculates an annual average. The calculation has been done to accommodate all customers, although there may be a few examples of how the calculation may need to be done manually using the custom payroll report referenced in the article here: https://fc.force.com/customer/s/article/WFM-Average-Pay-Calculation
Many thanks,
Sophie

Thanks Sophie for the clarification. All our ee-s were paid only for one week of Feb before the 29.02 so I need do a manual calculations for everyone..
