Covid-19 HMRC Guidance Updates - Friday 17th April
Hope you and your families are keeping well.
Late on Friday 17th April, HMRC released several pieces of guidance surrounding Furlough payments to employees. Please see these below:
The end date of the CJRS has been extended to 30th June 2020 -
o The Furlough page currently has validation around the start and end dates for the furlough status which uses 31st May 2020. This will be changed to 30th June 2020 in due course.
The Average Pay calculations have been confirmed -
o The calculations are somewhat different to previous guidance received. We are currently working out how we can provide our customers with basic gross pay data in line with the new calculations and will publish updates as soon as possible.
The information required, calculations and format of the data required for the grant claim application -
o We are currently working on exports that will help customers to claim the CJRS grant. The new guidance has different calculations for the Employers NIC and Pension amount so the team are now re-working this and we will publish updates as soon as possible.
We understand this is a challenging time for everyone and we are working hard to be able to provide you with information to make your calculations and claims as simple and as easy as possible.
