Fourth Release Note: Reduction in Backup Period  

What’s Changing?

The period for which Customer data is retained for in Fourth’s backup cycle is being reduced from a 13-month period to a 3-month period.  

Release date: 1st April 2019  

Reason for the Change

To allow for an appropriate period after which Customers’ deleted data is permanently erased from Fourth’s systems, and in light of the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”).   Full details (including links to GDPR-related documentation and Fourth’s UK Legal Policies) are in the linked article.
