Hi all,
I have a question from the lovely @Tanya Pemberton ,
"I’ve been looking for help on fourth about the whole process of multi employing staff. I know how to do the basics, but how does the cost work out for salaried employees if I ME someone to a different location but on the same payroll?
I understand they still get paid the same amount, but does the whole cost of that person’s shift still go to the other location and not mine? I can only see 0.00 on the managers lent line in the monthly wage cost analysis report so I would assume that this persons cost is still on us?
Do you have any advanced ‘how to’ or info on MEing staff please?"
Thanks!

Hi
There are a few factors to consider and depending on configuration you will get different results.
- if the rota global setting is enabled to ‘use salaried actual days worked’ the amount cross charged in the rota will vary. For example an employee is paid £500 a week. If they work 3 days in location A and 2 days in Location B Location will show the daily rate as £500/3 and Location B will show the daily rate as £500/2
If the salary is divided by 7 days the day rate will be the same in both locations.
- The managers salary will always be charged to the home site, if the employee has not been scheduled in the other site ( but did work there) their will be nothing in managers lent and the salary will be charged entirely to the home location.
- from an accounting system point of view cross charges can be displayed on the super journal by hour but the amount on the rota will always be a day rate. If the employee has been scheduled finance my be making adjustments that are not seen in the rota. But only if the employee is scheduled.
I would suggest booking an Ask Fourth Session so that a Solutions consultant can look at your specific set up and identify why you are seeing 0.00 cost.
please note, no changes can be made to configuration by Fourth.
Hope this helps
Debbie
