How do we make NI number mandatory entry when creating a new employee record

Thank you for your question.

There isn't a way to make NI numbers mandatory on employee creation - it can be left blank for up to 90 days in case an employee is waiting for their NI number to be provided by HMRC.

 

We also have an alert available that can be set up daily/weekly/monthly to notify if any employees still do not have an NI number after 90 days. Within the HR reports we have an Exception Report and an HR Exception Report that also allows you to report on any missing NI numbers.
