A really useful report is available in HR > Reports > Exports > Employee Audit. When running the export you can select the appropriate date range and then use filtering to control how you would like to review the report in Excel.
This report will not only indicate role changes, but will also highlight any changes made to an employee's record, when it occurred and who made it.

Following on from above, if its for Job Title changes you can go to HR> Audits and Alerts>Job Titles and Salary Changes or in Payroll >Pay Run Admin>View Salary Changes
