Changing employment status from Full-Time to Casual
Linked Ideas
Hi @Danni Fasolino
You can either Terminate and rehire the employee, paying out their holiday accrued so far or you van calculated the number of hours the employee has accrued and enter them into their record as a negative holiday. This will amend the days remaining and not the entitlement but will enable you to carry over the holiday accrued.
Kind regards

Thanks @Debbie Thomas
How would I enter a holiday as negative?
The other advice I have received is to move the employee to a flexible holiday status and the system will be able to move their current entitlement over. However this will calculate holiday in days, not hours and will mean that their holiday entitlement refreshes in January (start of the holiday year) instead of continually accruing. Is that correct? If so, is there a way around this?
Hi Danni,
If you need to enter negative casual holiday, you go through the process of booking a casual holiday, then go back into the record and enter a minus amount into the 'hours' box. This can be done using the Admin login to your portal.
Flexible holiday does calculate differently to casual, it shows all the holiday in days not hours and will reset- so maybe decide which would be right for the employee.
If moving from full time to casual then you can either terminate and rehire, or book the holiday so it gets paid prior to them moving, or pay this out manually through payroll.
Many thanks,
Sophie.
