when amending a multiple employment record why would the effective date revert to 01/01/1990, and you are not prompted to enter the effective date yourself?

When amending a multiple employment within an employee record, the effective date will initially display the effective date that the multiple employment was created with previously. This date can be changed using the calendar icon or the drop-downs.
If the date cannot be changed, it is likely that the multiple employment is a past multiple employment with a expired end date, in which case a new multiple employment should be created.
If this is not the case, and the date displayed is incorrect preventing you from changing, it would require our support team to investigate further and I would recommend raising a technical case, or speaking with your system administrator.
