Why isn’t the Apprentice Levy on the Super Journal?

This is a great question.

The apprentice levy allowance is applied at Company level.

The super journal is built to return ‘employee payments’ and therefore does not contain or look for information calculated at company level.

We will not be changing how this works as the following options are available.

1.     The P30 summary will give you the Apprentice Levy for each company

2.     If you wish to charge the levy at location or division level, the HMRC reconciliation report can be used to calculate 0.5% of each location/division.

3. If you wish this to be included in the Rota wage cost it can be added into Factor x or as a metric.

Hope this helps
