Hi @Roberto Lopez ,

Great to hear you are finding the Interim Inventory function useful. We will shortly be releasing an article around how this works shortly, so keep you eyes peeled.

In answer to your question, currently if an outlet or location is included in the interim inventory it will have to be counted in it's entirety, otherwise the inventory will adjust the items to 0.

I would suggest looking at setting up & including a location in inventory for the products you do want to count, and another location (not included in inventory) for those that you don't want to count.

I hope that helps.

Best

Hi Mark,

We stumbled across something that we found to be different system behavior:

We received (by accident) a different detail of a regularly ordered beer that we serve at one of our restaurants in May. It has been in the "unassigned" location since the received date and has gone through several month end and interim inventory cycles. We have not entered a count into this detail, yet there remains a balance for the item.

This would seem to be system behavior that differs from the count being zeroed out if we don't enter a count for an item during an inventory cycle.

Good morning @Roberto Lopez,

Thank you for your follow-up question; since Mark is on holiday, I wanted to respond on behalf of the team.

With Location-based Outlets, each Location needs to be flagged as part of the Inventory Cycle, including the 'Unassigned' Location, or the counts for that Location will continually roll over to the following period, as outlined here:

Please let us know if you have any further questions around this topic.

I hope that helps,
