Further to the above - Looking into things a bit further - I am now looking at the Help Screen Shots - How to Create and absence however they do not advise on filling in the bottom part of the screen that asks for usual working days. Can you clarify if we would add the days they were rota'd on for that week ?

Hi Debbie

Thank you this is very helpful ! Can you advise if there is a printable version of this article ? Also we are a bit confused by the fact that you have to tick the documents seen button for a single day of self cert sickness. As an example I took a call this morning from someone who called in sick, I have added the absence in the rota screen (assuming this is the same function as going through the HR module) as I understand this cannot be done in the past. As the person called in sick I have not seen her self cert document ? therefore I cannot tick that button ? does that mean that her sickness wont be paid ? We need further clarification on this as soon as possible so that we can re-train our managers on this procedure. Thanks for your help its very much appreciated.

Can you also comment on the first part of my question regarding how our staff are set up -

Noticed that a FOH member of staff showing in the Payroll Module // Employee Payroll Info // SSP Details is ticked yes Monday to Friday but no Sat and Sunday, as they work 5 days over 7 I am assuming that all seven days days should say yes ?

Hi @Sharon Harkins Unfortunately the articles cannot be printed however all employees can be sent a link and encouraged to use the community.

The SSP settings in the employee record do not matter, it is the tick boxes when creating an absence that should be ticked as the days they were due to work. This calculates their waiting days.

It is important to only tick 5 boxes is an employee works 5 days as ticking 7 will affect the amount they are paid.

Hope this helps

Kindest

Debbie

I have opened a case with cases as week two of a sickness with doctors line (and box ticket) is only returning 1/4 of the SSP amount ) person works 4 days over 7 - They should be receiving full SSP as they have already suffered the 3 wait days in week 1 of sickness
