We receive calls when there has been a payroll mistake. If we feel its too late to roll back we will pay them an advance. We will then add an advance / deduction for them so the paid advance is captured the following week in Fourth payroll (but not paid)
My question is ..... do we have to wait until Monday (new payroll week) to add the advance / deduction or can we do it THU / FRI whilst the rota is still live and not submitted to payroll.
Would the advance / deduction sit and wait until rota is submitted then show on the wage slip preview.

As long as the date you enter for the Advance/Deduction falls in the correct pay period it will not matter if the rota is submitted or not. These additional payment types and deductions are independent of the rota module.

I would check it doesn’t go through in the current period (on the preview) and then check the preview for the period it should go through in.
