Is there a possibility to pre-set the ingredient's default unit of measurement?

When building a recipe, chefs go through labor intensive process of quantity > the unit > and sometime also the yield. e.g. Potato default unit is kg, cream is Litre . Last but not least, is it possible to allocate metric or imperial system to product by default as well? @Jean-paul Manzac​

Regarding product yields, you can pre set the yield of a product in the product master, property - product - recipe, please find a more detailed explanation on the link below

A unit of measure cannot be pre-set, however, when you set up a product the system will only allow you to choose a UOM which can be converted from your initial UOM in the product set up, this limits the amount of options to the user.
