Our holiday year commences 1st Jan, when we add a new employee after this date on flexible terms the annual leave is still 28 days. How do we amend to be pro-rata in the first year?

Hi @Oliver Stockdale​ Yes this is correct, when creating a new flexible employee the holiday allowance will be the full 28 days as the system does not have a working pattern to calculate the actual holiday on.

Flexible entitlement is calculated based on average days worked over the last 12 or 26 weeks.

Once the employee has been scheduled on a rota and this is submitted, the holiday entitlement will adjust. The more rotas that are submitted the more information will go into the calculation.

 

If you are concerned, about this you can put an override on, but you MUST remember to remove this after 12 week. However this is not a recommended practice as it creates a lot of manual work and people often forget or enter the override incorrectly.
