What is best practice for synchronizing Recipes from Property to Property?

Hi Joshua, thank you for your query:

If you push a recipe from a property to CP, that recipe becomes a CP recipe.  Best practice would then be to edit the recipe at CP moving forward to keep a clean database.  Therefore, we don’t have a way to allow a "CP recipe" to be edited at the property.  If you are just trying to use the CP as a way to copy the recipe to another property, you can duplicate the recipe in the new property and then delete the CP recipe.

@James Covart, we are having the same problem with some recipes that use different ingredients for different locations. I created them all at CP and then pushed them to our restaurants. Since they cannot be edited there, I'll have to create a duplicate just for those locations that use different (higher quality) ingredients. I haven't decided whether or not to do that at CP or the individual Properties until I know more about how often they could change. I'm also planning on adding a prefix to the naming convention to ensure they are different than the other versions.

    Hi James:

CP recipes is a great way of managing standard recipes across the business. It is up to you and your company's internal processes if you want to manage all recipes at CP, or have individual recipes at each property.

    Best,
