What is the best practice for creating products when utilizing Outlet Accounts?

Question from @Selina Routh​    Purchasing creates the products, but then doesn’t assign them to any order guides. Therefore, the outlet attempts to order the new product, but no account is assigned. Due to the permission, the user cannot order and gets the ‘Red X’.

We recommend that the Property/Product Administrators who add or final approve Products also add them to the appropriate Guides & Templates with Account reference, as part of their process; this approach has yielded the most successful results & is most scalable in customers with high turnover.

 

Alternatively, the ordering User Groups could be modified to allow access to ‘GL Accounts for Ordering Outlets Editing in Transactions’ as outlined here:
