Holidays and Absence at the same time?
Good Morning,
We had added an absence for all our colleagues who are furloughed showing this detail, we have done this so it is pulled through to the rotas etc for the duty manager to see.
Following the government update regarding holidays, we now want to input bank holidays etc so colleagues can be paid for these as normal. Is there a way these holidays can be added without removing/amending the absence?

Hi Sam,
Thanks for the question. The system will only allow the employees to be on holiday or have an absence on any one day, so you can't add a holiday day if they are already on a period of absence if you are recording furlough that way. You will need to end the absence, add the holiday day, and start the absence again in that scenario.

Is there an alert that tells you an absence or a holiday day is already booked?

Hi Rachel Sutton there is an alert for 'holiday booked' as well as 'absence created'.
There's also reporting for holidays and absences in the HR 'holidays and absences' dropdown, including a holiday calendar.
