Furlough NI calculation if company toping up 20% of the salary to employees?
Is anybody toping up employee's salaries? We are experiencing problems with getting an export which would calculate prorated NI. Can someone advise the easiest option without manual calculation?

Hi @Rita Andreou
Thank you for your question.
The best way to manage this would be to use a separate payment type for the 80% furlough payment, and then another payment type for the 20% top up. As long as the furlough portion is flagged as ‘Furlough Payment’ and the top up payment type is selected as ‘Furlough Top-Up Payment’ the furlough exports will recognise them and pro-rata the calculations.
Further details on creating these payment types can be found in the following guide: https://fc.force.com/customer/s/article/WFM-Furloughed-Employees-Paying-Salaried-Employees
I hope this helps.
Best,
Lucy
