a couple of follow on questions

Can we extend the fixed term end date without having to terminate the employee?

How would we make a fixed contract permanent without having to terminate the employee?

    Thanks

    Hi {@005D0000006DEuxIAG} Great question!

Temporary Staff functionality works really well for this.

This needs to be enabled in HR > Administration > Global Settings > Edit Default employee settings > Use Temporary staff functionality.

Once this box is ticked you can set a maximum period for a contract, cap the number of times the employee can be hired as a temporary staff member and set a period within which a temporary employee can be rehired (weeks)

Once enabled, this can be recorded within the employees 'Employment details' page by ticking the Temporary staff box which will now be available.

Please note that employees still need to be terminated. This is not automatically as a termination reason needs to be selected.

A termination reason - 'End of contract' could be set up and configured to include or exclude from turnover reporting. The link below will explain how to create termination reasons.

Both the turn over report in HR and FA will enable you to report on turnover of this termination reason.

Please also ensure that users are aware of the importance of selecting the correct reason.

    Hope this helps

If you would like to extend the period you can add another Term using the 'Add Term' button.

If you wish to make them permanent you untick the box.

    Hope this helps
