An employee has asked to have their personal details forgotten, how do i go about this?

We’ve had a request from an employee to have their personal details forgotten.    I know we don’t have to comply on all matters as we do need to retain some information on grounds of a legal basis but what do we do about basic information such as physical address/phone numbers/email address, etc.? Do I just go into their archived profile and change it to xxxxxx? @Sue Jones​

You can set the retention period for all employees in the HR Global setting.

If the employee is requesting you delete this before the retention period, I would suggest taking advice from legal as to whether this is a reasonable request.

There are certain fields that require a specific format (Phone number) and you will only be able to enter numbers not x .
