    HI {@0053z00000ANhhQAAT}

    Thanks for your questions.

    It took me a little longer than usual to get to the bottom of this, so sorry you had to wait.

    Like you, I remember very distinctly having the option on the scanner handset to choose between the purchase and inventory unit. However that is only when using the handset to associate a barcode to a product for the first time. Once the barcode has been associated it lives exclusively against one of the units and therefore will only return that unit when scanned.

    If you want to be able to scan both purchase and inventory units you will need to either associate the barcode from the additional unit, perhaps if we are talking about a case of beer where the bottle has a different barcode to the case, or use the Purchasing & Inventory application to generate a new barcode.

    There shouldn't be any issue with needing to press enter after having scanned the barcode though. Which model handset are you using?

    I have been doing some testing. I was able to get the option to pull up ONLY when searching under the product, and not in the barcode field.

    Still no luck with having to hit enter after scanning each item to get it to move to the count. I am wondering if it is some type of start/stop character issue.

    Hi Scott,

    Because barcodes 'live' against units of a detail you will only have a single option when you scan. When you search by description you will have the choice between purchase and inventory units. That's why assigning barcodes on the handhelds gives the option to choose purchase or inventory unit but scanning will only ever return the specific unit the barcode is assigned to.

    which model of terminal are you using?

    Hi @Scott Brecht

    Ive tried replicating with my MC40 but am not able to. I suggest checking https://fc.force.com/customer/s/article/Purchasing-Inventory-Mobile-Software-Installation-MC40-for-Android-Devices so make sure you have it configured correctly. If the problem still persists it might be worth raising a case.
