Seperate Ordering and Inventory Locations

Goal: To generate printed template order guides that are consistently the same with the same categories. 

1. Products (Inventory Items) stay the same. 

2. Products show up under only 1 ordering location. 

3. Same as the previous printed Template Order Guide. UNLESS New product(s) (Inventory Items) are added. 

 

Goal: To be able to inventory all storage locations and have all counts show up accurately (without overwriting). 

 

Issue - Post Monthly Physical Inventory 

1. If using ordering locations, Doesn't have all the different locations and when using scanner if item is put in same location (even though separate) on multiple scanners whichever scanner is uploaded last overwrites the others. 

2. If using storage locations for ordering, same product shows up multiple times or only can print alphabetically and not by location. 

 

Goal: To print on a template order guide a field which either is specific to vendor or doesn't show up on vendor purchase order. {@005D000000AKYHHIA5}​

Regarding Goal 1, we would recommend the Outlet(s) in question be configured by Category rather than by Location; otherwise, an Outlet with 1 Location could be built but would required manual maintenance under Inventory->Maintain Guides:

Regarding Goal 2 & Issues, the 'Add to Current Inventory Quantities' flag should be enabled as outlined here to ensure they are not overwritten:

Further, Templates can only show a Product one time as the same Product cannot be on a Requisition multiple times; therefore, it will only show the first time in the Template sequence.

Regarding Goal 3, any modifications to an existing function/printout, etc. within Purchasing & Inventory (formerly Adaco) would need to be raised directly with your Customer Team representative.

It doesn't allow me to change the ​Outlet Guide Sequence to Category form location, error reads "You cannot change guide sequence because inventory for this outlet has performed."

That is correct as Outlet sequence is set during implementation & cannot be changed via the UI (front-end of the application); following a consultation session arranged by your Customer Team representative, there may be an opportunity for our Data Services Team to make this change.
