Holiday will always round UP to the nearest half day as you cannot pay an employee less than their legal entitlement.

As an employee cannot take .936 of a day, if the employee left it would pay the whole day as if they were taking it as a days holiday so as not to penalise the employee.

 

The holiday entitlement is updated on submitted rota weeks and will look back at the last 12 or 26 weeks (depending on configuration) to calculate the average days worked. This will include holiday days and if configured, absences too.

 

Calculation when an employee starts part way through the holiday year.

The system will calculate the number of days between the employees start date and the end of the holiday year and divide this by 365.

No. of days between Employment Start Date:(20/07/2018) and Holiday Year End Date: (31/12/2018) = 164

 

= {164.00000/365}

= 0.44932

 

If average days worked is 5 the system will calculate a whole year at 28 and will multiply this by Fraction Worked(Calculated):"0.449315"

 

= 12.5808

 

This will always be rounded to 13
