How to save employees access levels?

Hi @Luisa Rodriges @Linda Cooke

What page are you trying to adjust access on?

If you are adjusting a template and the employee has had bespoke access given to them the access will not update to the template and therefore any changes will not take affect.

It is recommended that all access to permissions is amended on the templates rather than giving bespoke access.

You can check who has had bespoke access given to them by running the Bespoke access report in HR > Reports > Exports.

Please let me know if this is not the issue.

Kind regards

@Debbie Thomas Hi Debbie, thank you very much for this. I can only do this using our super admin account (System Administrator) which seems a bit drastic.

We have managers who were set up several years ago with access to create an employee then telling us they are now experiencing this problem. I can't understand it. Is it possible that Fourth has changed our templates?

Hi @Linda Cooke

Fourth will never change a customers templates unless we have been asked to and have a written agreement to do this.

Access to assign a new template is a permission within the HR Templates and can be assigned to users who may require this function.

Kind regards

Debbie

Hi {@005D000000AN5HJIA1} {@005D000000AMfmLIAT}

When an employee needs additional permissions of a GM for a period of time, rather than giving bespoke access, the GM template can be assigned to this employee.

HR > Users > Assign User Access > Select employee > User Profile

Select 'Do you wish to apply template' and select the relevant template and press 'Apply'.

This will override any bespoke access previously given and the employee will have all the permissions on the template.

It may sometimes be necessary to create a new template if specific access is required. This can only be done by The System Administrator.

Ensure you select 'next' and check the locations and division are correct.

The permissions should be updated on the summery page.

If the employee still does not have access, please raise a support case via the community. You will find this option in your account drop down on the right of the Search bar.

I hope this resolves your problem. Please let us know.

Kind regards

Debbie
