Is there a free text field which can be used? Or can there be a prompt to fill in another field with the name of the person who referred them. We run a refer a friend scheme through which employees are paid bonuses for referring people into the business and this would really help us.

We would like to understand how we can record the name of the person who referred a new employee if during the new starter set up process, we select 'source' as 'Introduce a Friend'

I use comments.
Once the new starter has been created, you go into the referrers record and record a comment in the category (refer a friend).
This can be reported on as and when using the comments report in HR. This would then need be passed to payroll.
