Is it possible to give hierarchy access to a user so they can retrieve a former employees P45 without giving access to edit the employment details? (HR Module).

The employment details page can be set to 'Read only' in the HR templates.

They will still be able to view the P45 link at the bottom of this page.

I tried that option but it doesn't show, P45 is only available when set to edit or full access.

Is there a reason for not wanting an employee to be able to see the employment details screen? They will have access to this information on the P45 and the employee is former.

This access is for our department managers to be able to retrieve the P45 for leavers if they have lost or not received the email. The P45 can currently only be viewed by giving full access to the employment details section. This is fine when viewing former, as they have left no changes can be applied, but when viewing current this means the salary etc. can be amended. We restrict who can amend salaries therefore would not want to give everyone full access to the employment details. The resolution would be that the P45 can be retrieved by giving read only access.

So if I understand correctly, you do not want an HOD to be able to amend Salary details for a current employee, but they need to have full access to the employment details page as they may need to view a P45?

If this is the case, there is a Permission on the templates that will stop users from being able to edit Salary details. 'Enable Editing of Salaried Employees'.

Does this solve the problem?
