Note: Salary cannot be changed until the employee has joined payroll

Hi everyone!   Got a question from the lovely @Catherine Adams​:   Hi I am setting my Fourth system up and I have some salary amendments to make. I am unable to edit the salary field and I have a note that says, "Salary cannot be changed until the employee has joined payroll" what does this mean and how do I change the salary before I give access to the employee? Here is the response from the wonderful @Debbie Thomas​:

 

'Depending on system configuration, employees may be excluded from Payroll until some one 'includes them'. This sounds like the case with you. These employees will display in Payroll with an *.

You will need to include the by going into payroll > Employees > Include in payrun.

Once included you will be able to change their payrate.
