Can I rehire an employee who was ticked as not being someone to re-employ?

Good Question!!

In short the answer is no, however this can be changed by updating the record to allow the employee to be re-employed.

Usually it is only the system administrator who has this permission, so I would suggest speaking to your system administrator and asking them if they could go to the termination details page for that employee and change the re-employ option from no to yes. This will of course allow the employee to be re-hired.
