Hi @Sharon Harkins

This is an interesting question.

i believe that the double time will be applied midnight to midnight but I understand why this is tricky for hotels in particular.

i will discuss this internally to ensure this is correct.

@Debbie Thomas  Hi Debbie Can you also check if this should apply (has been applied) to all departments as we have been contacted by a HouseKeeper to advise that they did a night shift from 22:00 (Dec 31st) to 07:00 (Jan 01) and this has not been picked up for double time payment??

Hi @Sharon Harkins

There is no seting to change this by department. I would expect that 2200-0000 on 31st is paid double time and 0000-0700 on 1st Jan is Single time as from a system point of view the stat day is 31st Dec and not the 1st Jan.

Would you be able to confirm this is the case?

Thanks

Debbie

Hi Debbie

I am able to confirm that the staff that worked past midnight on 31/12 were not paid double time - this is very disappointing. We have manually calculated what they are owed and uploaded the payment. To be honest we will most likely manually do these payments next year to ensure they are correct rather than relay on the Stat Day

Hi @Sharon Harkins I totally understand and I will pass this onto the product team as I agree that the statutory payment should look at the whole shift if scheduled on the statutory day.

Kind regards

Debbie
