Hi @Sharon Harkins

This is functionality when viewing payslips through the HR and Payroll icon on the app. (The main Portal)

When viewing payslips in 'My Payroll', the employee can raise a query that notifies Payroll users on the right side of the screen in the Payroll Module.

Payroll can the reply and the query will disappear from the list.

I hope this helps

Hi,

Is there a way this query functionality can be turned off at all?

Thank you!

Hi Sam

Great question, thanks!

Essentially, the option for an employee to query cannot be removed. However your company admin could disable the option for queries to appear on your module home page.

From the portal homepage access the Payroll Module > Global Settings > Portal Settings and tick: Do not display queries on payroll home page

There would need to be a team communication at this point to inform the employees that they should no longer use this option as it will not reach the Payroll Module & therefore not be answered.

Any queries should be directed to whomever is responsible for Payroll.

Hope this helps!

Best

@Carina Pedrica  Thank you for your response!

I have now done this., but unfortunately the query payslip button remains present?

Thank you!

Carina Pedrica

Hi @Sam Earls

Apologies for not being clearer.

The query button itself cannot be removed, it is only the functionality that allows the payroll admin to receive notifications that can be disabled.

Which you have now done.

From here there would need to be email comms or a Fourth Engage App broadcast (if you use this) or a team meeting.  Or really however you choose to communicate to the team that payroll queries now need to be discussed directly with the person who would normally deal with them as, although the 'query' button is still visible, it is no longer enabled.

Let me know if there's anything else I can help with!

Many thanks.
