We have rehired an employee but when rehiring through Fourth the hiring manage is unable to enter a salary (no field available). As an admin I have tried to update it but the following message appears and I am unable to save: "this change is not allowed as employee's start date occurs during specified pay period" - not sure why this is happening - the employee start date in the system is for 25th November and I am trying to change the salary from 25th November.
Why are we unable to enter a salary when rehiring an employee?

Thanks for your great question!
I would recommend you raise a case on the community as it is something that occasionally arises, and this would be the best way to ensure it wouldn't happen again. It is to do with settings within the payroll module, but it is best to get this raised and sorted once and for all, rather than on a case by case basis.
I'm sorry it's not a full easy answer, but if you raise a case you should get this resolved soon and then this hopefully won't be an issue any longer.
