We have two members of staff that I cannot get their fingerprint registered on the machine. Is it possible to key in their Employee code instead and if yes how do we do this?

It can be quite a task to find a working fingerprint on some employees... especially if they work with knives and/or abrasives...

You can program the clock as follows:

HOW TO ENROLL AN EMPLOYEE – FINGERPRINT BYPASS / PIN

1. Press ENROLL key to enter Enrollment Mode.

2. The display will ask for the MASTER (MST) CODE. This is 7234. Then press the return key

3. Press 1 to Authorize a fingerprint bypass

4. Enter WORKER# (Employee Number). Then press the return key

5. Repeat step 4 for the next employee

6. The unit will exit Enrollment Mode after 60 seconds of inactivity. Or press ESC. to exit.

Fingerprint Bypass / PIN only is to be used only for extreme cases. If an employee has difficulty clocking in using Identification

mode, then they should try Verification before moving onto Fingerprint Bypass as a last resort.

NB – Once an employee number has been authorised for Fingerprint Bypass / PIN only use, that authorisation will remain

active until the clock is reprogrammed.

Thank you for your reply, you mention trying verification how do I do this?

Also just checking that if these two members of staff still cannot register their fingerprints and we use their employee code this will only affect them not all 70 plus members of staff?

You can run a verification as follows:

CLOCKING IN – VERIFICATION MODE

• Press GREEN IN button

• Type in Employee Number. Press ENTER

• The display will ask user to VERIFY by placing finger

• Place registered finger on the glass panel.

• Once accepted, the clock will sound a beep and the employee number will display on the screen.

OR... CLOCKING OUT - VERIFICATION

• Press ORANGE OUT button

• Type in Employee Number. Press ENTER

• The display will ask user to VERIFY by placing finger

• Place registered finger on the glass panel.

• Once accepted, the clock will sound a beep and the employee number will display on the screen.

Using the PIN/Employee code will only work for the employees you have set up (they should keep their employee numbers confidential) - the remaining employees will continue to clock-in/out using their registered fingerprints.
