We are looking at options to control the flow of data within our business. Is there currently any form of access control to restrict users based on location, such as IP address? Thanks

Hi @Rachel Sutton

Great Question!

In the global settings you can set up a pin number so that portals can only be accessed from a specific IP address, however I believe this can only be set to a single IP so is suitable for customers with a single location (A hotel) but not for multi site customers.

I will need to check the global settings to confirm this.

Hi

Following on from my post yesterday,

The Global setting HR > Administration > Global settings > Edit Portal Configuration will allow you to restrict access based in IP addresses.

Our development team will need to upload a list of authorised IP Addresses.

Once these have been loaded and the setting is enabled, users will only be able to access the portal if they are connected to one of the authorised IP addresses.

Please note that a user could log in from any of the authorised IP addresses.

If users need to access when not connected to one of these addresses i.e an Ops manager at home, they can be given a PIN number which is set by yourselves as per the screen shot above.

If this is something you would like to proceed with, a case can be raised via the community, attaching a list of the authorised IP addresses.

I hope this helps
