HI one of my employees didn't receive his pay. Checked his Bank details and the SORT CODE was incorrect. I have amended it now. Will he be paid today? If not when?

The employee will not be paid into the new bank account you have entered on Fourth today, automatically. Suggest an additional payment be made to the employee outside of payroll - before or after bounce back, this this will depend on internal procedures.

(If the sort code was mis-typed , there is no guarantee the number accidentally given is a valid account number, and so may just bounce back to the employers bank account after a few days. If it is a valid account number then the employers bank may need to contact the recipients bank with the details and ask for it back.)
