Hi, In global settings (Administration) could you please advise on this "Force employee to be flexible if paid by rota" Could you please confirm what this means/is? Thanks, Alex

In this instance "Flexible" is referring to the method in which an employee's holiday will be calculated and "Paid by Rota" is referring to an employee that is paid an hourly rate based on the hours submitted on a rota.

 

Quite often hourly paid employees are set to be "paid by rota" upon creation, which ensures the system will calculate holiday correctly based on days and hours worked within the flexible holiday calculation. This does not work for every business and as such the global setting gives each business the flexibility to decide whether this must be mandatory (hence helping to eliminate human error upon creation of the employee) or can be optional.
