Documents Seen Box
Linked Ideas
@Mark Wilson Hi Thanks Mark yes I run this report but I feel its a moot point as we need to pay even if we have not seen the documents.
Thanks for the answer
Hi @Sharon Harkins,
The Documents Seen box ensures that if the Absence Type drives an additional payment that it gets pushed back through in Payroll, for instance any that drive Company Sick Pay or SSP. This is a permission within the Payroll Template and will affect anyone that sits under this.
You cannot 'auto tick' but depending on business practice you can switch it off at site level, so that it is greyed out. Be aware though that it would still have to be done at some point (usually it becomes a Payroll task). Alternatively, you could inform all employees who create absences that they tick the Doc Seen box as standard. This will have no impact on the Absence Types that do not drive additional payments but will ensure that all that do are being entered correctly.
I hope this helps?

Good morning @Sharon Harkins
Thanks very much for getting in touch and for your question on Absences and Documents Seen.
There is no auto ticked for the Documents Seen box, as this is the driver to ensure that the appropriate absence type is confirmed by the authorising individual.
Ticking the Documents Seen box does indeed ensure that the correct absence type, and therefore payment, pulls through correctly into Payroll. The simplest way to check this is to run the Absence Analysis Report - this can be found at HR > Reports > Absence Analysis.
The Absence Analysis will allow you to search a specific period to see which absences have been not had the Documents Seen box checked. You can then go back to the respective absences in HR to make the necessary updates.
I hope this has helped.
Best,
Mark
