It would be awesome if you would add the ability to create re-occuring tasks on the template builder. Every restaurant in America has some kind of weekly cleaning duty list. Right now, I cheat by creating locations for each job that are actually cleaning duties. For example, I will schedule my opening cook for the first 30 minutes of his day on 'Mopping Floors', then his next shift is backed right up to that for 10:30am Grill. It would be so much cleaner in the system, if I could just schedule him at 10:00am but assign him a TASK of mopping floors that day.
I create shifts for all kinds of things that should really be tasks.
- Manager meetings
- Manager Development
- Mopping the floors
- Cleaning behind equipment
- Detail Cleaning Oven
- Changing fryer oil
- Deliming dish machine
- Rotating all Ketchups out
- etc, etc, etc.
It needs to show in the schedular, the mobile apps and all versions of the roster report to work.
You could add a tab on the schedular as below that would basically work just like the 'House Shifts' tab, but instead by tasks. Once the only difference would be that the 'TASK' would be drag and drop onto a shift, not a person so they are connected. If a shift gets pushed back to house shift, then the task should as well.
I would love to talk more about this. To be truly functional, it needs some kind of manager approval that the task was done. A score on the task, might make it a functional data rating as well.
