I think I posted this once before, but just in case. . . .
Please consider adding a reliability rating. Give the store managers some power back!!!!!!!!! Every time an employee calls in or doesn't work a shift, we should be able to document it in the staff journal, but it should also knock them to the bottom of the list to get hours on the next schedule. It would give restaurants a way to have an actual consequence to employees that are taking advantage of calling in sick because they were out partying the day before, or just stayed up all night playing video games, or just don't really feel like working today, or claim that their cat turned off their alarm (and yes, I have had that excuse).
By now, I am sure you can guess that one of my employees called in sick today with an extremely lame excuse. Again.
Things that should effect an employee's reliability rating
- Clocking in on time
- Clocking out on time
- Calling in for shifts
- Excessive Giving up shifts
- Excessive Requesting Off
- High Comps / Voids
- Any Write ups (or descipline actions)
- Guest Complaints
- Any poor performance staff journal entries
