    Hi Grace,

    If this is logged as an absence type then you would need to ensure the absence type is not to deduct nor pay. That way the employee's salary can just remain the same and you can log the leave as normal. If it is an hourly employee, then a manual payment would need to be made if it is to be full pay.

    Another way would be to set up as compassionate leave. I have attached an article below on absence type set ups.
