Variety Packs
I am looking for a best practice in regards to products that are purchased as variety packs (hard seltzers, energy drinks, etc. that come in multiple flavors) but sold individually. Currently, we are in a situation where we purchase BOTH variety packs and regular packs (single flavor) of these items and I'm not sure how to link barcodes and PLUs.
The only solution I can think of is to set up the flavors individually; for example, if we order a variety pack that contains 24 can, 6 cans each of 4 different flavors, we setup the product as the individual flavors and receive 6 of each as opposed to one variety pack. However, this becomes a hassle on the ordering and receiving side.
On the other hand, if we set it up as a variety pack, we can create recipes to sell and inventory the individual flavors, however when we buy BOTH a variety pack and a regular pack, it becomes problematic to link a barcode since we can't link one barcode to multiple products.
Is there something I'm missing? An easier way to do this?
