Adhoc Product Automatically Added
Hello, I am trying to understand or figure out how some Adhoc products are being added or at what point in the process they are to stop my managers from being able to. Can you help figure out if this product was created during the Processing of PO or when Receiving at Lost Boy Dry Goods entity? I want to set up our system to eliminate the possibility of a staff member being able to do this.

Hi Randall Alonso,
If your users have Purchasing Adhoc Product Rights as outlined here: Adaco: Changing Requisition Access Rights in User Groups then they will be able to add Adhoc products directly in Adaco through the Purchase Requisition process.
If they do not have this access, then Adhocs can still be added via PunchOut integrations, which create Adhoc Products for any items not already in the database, or if EDI Suppliers send Substitute Products for any items not already in the database.
In addition, it is also possible by a user 'Manually Adding a New Line' through the Adaco Mobile: Receiving App; since this is a specific example that may require further investigation, I have converted this post to a Technical Support Ticket.

Ok, yea I believe Kay and I had already gone through the Access Rights and had removed Adhoc from within the solution, we can also eliminate Punchout since we are not actively using any (due to me not wanting Adhoc products added through that as well). So it must either be through Receiving on the Mobile App or through EDI Supplier. In this case, US Foods is an EDI supplier. Its interesting though that the product description lines up exactly with an existing Product "CONDIMENT, MAYONNAISE GENERIC". My guess may be that it is being received to the Product Description, in this example only Mr. Greens has a VPN associate, so when the manager received it with US Foods with no VPN, then an adhoc Product was created?
I'd like to figure out how to maybe eliminate any ability for an Adhoc. What I would want to do is either receive it to an existing product and be required to add the VPN, or if the product doesn't exist, send that request for Approval up to add the product. Just the same, I'll have low level staff using the App and I don't want them just constantly adding Adhoc by "Manually Adding a New Line." Any possible solutions for this?0 -

Regarding the 'Manually Adding a New Line' request, our Product/Support Teams have previously come across this and will be looking to deploy changes to this functionality in a future release.
