Pay run - end year

Hi,

Our company’s year end will be Sunday 31st December 2023, however the last payroll will run until the 24th December 2023 (4-weekly) and we will then be out of line. Would it be possible to run that payrun as normal and then have a payrun for one week only 25th – 31st December?

Could you please advise?

Hope you are well,

Thank you for your question in regard to the payroll dates. I believe that it would be possible for the customer to create a weekly payroll, move the employees over to the weekly payroll once the last 4 weekly has processed but be aware you will need to decide whether this would impact the employee's earnings in the correct tax periods. It is not something we can advise on with regards to legislation and what the periods should and would be.
